Law of Attraction

Actually, I have to admit I no idea what the Law of Attraction is. My best guess would be the title of an upcoming Rom-Com starring Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel? The reason I chose that heading is because I've found that there are certain people I'm drawn to and these same people appear to want to spend time with me.

Compassionate, kind and caring

Their versatility and flexibility allows them to hear others' problems, apply a dose of kindness then send the problem back, diluted and more manageable. When they do decide to put themselves first they can create something beyond your imagination, with a far greater reach and an immense capacity to heal.

Smart but they don't know it

Or if they do then they'd never publicly say so - they wouldn't want others to think they're arrogant or conceited. The thing is, people who think like this don't have the capacity to be arrogant or conceited. They're just not built that way.

Insightful and self-reflective

They have insightful insights -- on everything that is being a human being on this planet we call Earth. They're on a journey of self-reflection. Their opinions are worth putting down your coffee in order to listen with devoted attention. Except they don't even realise it and keep these insights to themselves.

They have an idea that will change the world

It lies forgotten on the office desk, weighed down by an about to tumble pile of paperwork, covered in a film of self-doubt.  Except this idea, just like its creator, is a bright light that can change the world. They just need the courage to reclaim what's theirs.

What many don't realise is that bearing hardships is an ability. Most people come out the other side, body and mind (mostly) intact and assume that's how everyone else does it. But it's not. It requires a special skill to not crumble altogether. Your story of adversity, whether you've overcome it or are still somewhere in the midst, is a gift. It is through story-telling that we learn and heal, both ourselves and others.

In a society full of a false sense of bravado, weakness is transformed into vulnerability when you share your story with others. It is through this vulnerability that your story - of adversity to authenticity - illuminates the path for someone else. If you're here, reading this, you're more courageous than you could ever imagine.

What if fitting into the mainstream was never your destiny? What if you are meant for something far greater?

Your light might be momentarily dimmed. It will take effort to remove the sticky residue that's no longer serving you. But what if bringing your creation to fruition is easier than you've ever imagined?

Is it time to let your light shine?
